Terms of service

These terms are an agreement between you and Sidecar (“Sidecar”, “we”) for the Sidecar plugin, website and ad server. By installing the plugin, creating an account, or buying ads, you accept them. Our privacy policy explains how we handle data.

Sidecar is independent and is not made, endorsed or supported by Anthropic. Claude and Claude Code are Anthropic's trademarks. Your use of Claude Code stays under Anthropic's own terms. If you use a work machine or a work account, check your employer's policy before running ads.

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract. To receive payouts you must complete Stripe Connect onboarding in a country Stripe supports for us, and pass Stripe's checks.

• You earn 50% of the clearing price of each qualified impression, as the docs define it. Views count only while you are at the keyboard: after 90 seconds without activity, ads pause and nothing accrues.
• Credits are held for 14 days for fraud review, then become available. You can request a payout once your available balance reaches $10.00. Payouts are approved by us and sent through Stripe Connect.
• Earnings are not wages and we do not promise any amount. You are responsible for any taxes on what you receive. We or Stripe may ask for tax information.
• We may reverse credits, including after they become available, that came from fraud, a breach of these terms, an error, or an advertiser payment that failed or was reversed.

You agree not to:

• Generate views with scripts, bots, scheduled or looped turns, simulated input, or any other way that fakes a person watching.
• Modify the plugin, or call the API directly, to misreport played time, visibility or activity.
• Run more devices or accounts than you actually watch, or share or sell claim codes or accounts.
• Click ads you are not interested in, or ask others to.
• Interfere with, probe, or overload the service.

We may withhold or reverse earnings and suspend devices or accounts that break these rules.

• Advertisers prepay a balance (at least $50.00 per top-up) and bid CPM in a second-price auction. A qualified impression is charged at its clearing price, never above your bid. Impressions that do not qualify cost nothing.
• Every ad is labeled “Sponsored”. We review creatives and may reject or remove any ad. Ads must be lawful, truthful, and not misleading, and must not impersonate others, including Anthropic.
• You are responsible for your ads, your landing pages, and your right to use their content.
• Charges for delivered impressions are final. On request we refund an unused balance, less payment fees, unless it was suspended for fraud or a breach of these terms.

We grant you a personal, revocable license to use the plugin. Its source is public so you can see exactly what it sends; that does not grant rights to the Sidecar name or logo. You can pause ads with /sidecar pause or uninstall the plugin at any time.

You can stop using Sidecar at any time. We may suspend or close a device or account, or stop the service, with notice where reasonable. If we close an account in good standing, we pay out its available balance once it clears the hold, even below $10.00 if the law requires it.

Sidecar is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost profits. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of what you paid us or what we paid you in the 12 months before the claim, or $100. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

We may update these terms. We will post changes here and update the date above, and for material changes email account holders before they take effect. Continuing to use Sidecar after that means you accept them.
